SG Accident Help Center

Migrant Workers

The biggest cluster of coronavirus patients in Singapore is currently that of the migrant worker community. Moved by their plight, our #SGStrong grantee, Eric Lee and his team at SGAccident have decided that they have to do something to help.

Thus, they have put together 1,600 hygiene packages for the workers. Distributing them to the Tuas View Dormitory and the Sungei Tengah Lodge, the kits include masks and hand sanitiser; traditional tools for fending off the coronavirus. Furthermore, they even plan to conduct free workshops on the proper way to wear a mask and on personal hygiene for the workers to ensure that they will be well-protected throughout this period.

“Our objective is to make sure migrant workers are being protected by providing the necessary items and education sessions on the proper wearing of masks, personal hygiene, important symptoms to look out for and what they can do when they observed such symptoms.”
