If By Being There, Supporting Them Through The Recovery Process, Will Empower Them To Do Those Great Things. Then I Think That That Is Reason Enough.
CEO LIMITLESS, MAYBANK MOMENTUM GRANTEE
At Limitless, Asher reaches out to youths struggling with mental health issues, help them discover their true potential and find hope in their lives. He constantly looks for new ways to help youths and hopefully change the negative perception of tackling mental health issues into a positive one.
1) What is a quote you have to get people thinking about the issue that occupies your heart and mind? Our graveyards are rich with unfulfilled dreams, potential, and promise. Books never written, classes never taught, scientific discoveries never imagined, and lives never touched Imagine a world where every one of those people could have lived out their lives calling? 2) What is the compelling reason for your work? We say at Limitless, that we do it for the one, for every single young person that reaches out, walks through our doors, and is struggling. Because they are more than their mental health issues. These are youths with dreams, destinies, and untold potential to change the world. And if by being there, supporting them through the recovery process, will empower them to do those great things. Then I think that that is reason enough. 3) How many lives have been touched / helped by your charity? Weve helped over 700 young people through their issues through our helpline and counselling programs over the past 3 years, and weve reached out to thousands more through our outreach efforts. 4) What is your future plan (next 2 years) or what is your ultimate dream / goal? Aside from our core therapeutic work, were looking at how we can better break down barriers to seeking help. And help forward the narrative that its really OK to be Not OK. Well be doing this through our services, outreach, and by producing content for youths, parents, educators, and helping professionals. My ultimate goal is to see a generation where Ive not been ok lately and Im going to seek therapy will be met not with shock, judgement or disgust, but with support and even a Nice! Is your therapist good? Care to make a recommendation? instead.
