FUND OVERVIEW
While Singapore continues to emerge as a top performing education system globally, data shows a persistent achievement gap for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
1. The median PSLE T-score for those on financial assistance has been consistently lower in the last 10 years. They score a median of 164 compared to the national average of 207.
2. The gap is especially significant for foundational numeracy, as the gap between the average TIMSS Mathematics score for low- and high-SES students has increased since 1995.
How can we build a future where every child in Singapore has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive?
WHY WONDER ARC?
We want to instill a sense of wonder and belief in children through the Wonder Arc Fund. We believe that every child has a success story arc waiting to be discovered.
Through the Wonder Arc Fund, we aim to ensure that learning possibilities are available to all children equitably by removing the odds stacked against them.
In 2024, The Majurity Trust partnered with our anchor donor Octava Foundation, as well as other generous donors, to establish the Wonder Arc Fund.
We are partnering with a range of organisations who can design and implement high impact solutions that are evidence-informed while being rooted in the community.
