BlueStar* Research: Youth Mental Health Survey
The research study aims to identify:
- What avenues of help youths in Singapore (age 10-18) want, when they encounter mental stress;
- Parents’ and youths’ beliefs about mental health, and about mental health services.
Youth Mental Health Survey
Recent events have highlighted existing gaps in mental health support for youth. These include the need to better understand how our school-going youth deal with mental stress; and the roles of parents in supporting their children’s mental health.
To address these gaps, The Majurity Trust (TMT) has commissioned a survey project to clarify what forms of mental health support youth want; and what parents’ and youths’ beliefs about mental health services are.
The survey findings will shape future directions for TMT’s Musim Mas BlueStar* Fund. The Fund supports non-profit organisations delivering effective and innovative mental health initiatives for children and youth suffering from depression and anxiety.
